windows fucking movie maker

ok I got this problem with windows movie maker, when it comes to saving the movie file. the vid is a minute long. I click on save movie file. I name it, and I chose the bit rate: 2,1 mbps. then I click next. the wizard estimates the time remaining. its estimates 123456364 minutes going up. then it goes to 3245, then 204, then 40 minutes. but instead of starting to save the movie, there is no percentage of progress and the minutes start going up. I let it go all night and when I came to see, it was at 1121243246 minutes going up. I dont know what to do and this situation is very frustrating because I need this video saved for tomorrow. anybody can help (like Madis since he knows alot about computers or anyone else...)?

Im desperate... :(

EDIT: and omg I realized its friday the 13th... Im out of luck lol

are u saving it to the computer or to a dvd cuz i tryed to save one of my vids for skool awhile ago onto a dvd and i had the same problem

idk maybe it is to big of a file or something, and did u use the same camera u always use cuz if its an older one sometimes it doesnt work because that has also happened to me

the file is a minute long. I used the same camera I alwways use, and it always works usually.

when you get to the save options screen just pick best quality for playback. Also close any other programs that are open that you don't need open (AIM, MSN, internet, etc.) that might help.

WMM is the sketchiest editor out there, it started giving me problems a few months ago. Not sure if they were the same as yours. Talk to me on AIM when I get back from Nate's this monday. If you want I could give ya Vegas.

happened to me with just my last video, same problem pretty much, i just saved it to a tape and then uplaoded the video to a different computer, thats all and if you cant do that, then i dont know what to tell you sorry :/

I dont have an AIM, but Ill get one if you dont have msn. and thanks that would be really great to have vegas ;)

my problem is solved, opne of my clips was fucked and it couldnt record. the result is in the video section :)

ok huge bump I know. same problem is happening again... other stuff didnt help and I checked all the clips... its fucked. it says itll take 2999996789 minutes to save and it just goes up.

that might help but what did you mean by that? Im desperate. Its for my mini3 so no mini3 untill this is worked out...

EDIT: wtf it works now... sketchy program! whatever mini3 should be out in not long :)

ok nvm. I still got a problem. it works, but when its at 75% ish, my comp closes down and doesnt restart for another 10 minutes. Its sooo fucked up! and also when I save it, I make sure all the other programs are closes so thats not the problem... this is total shit cuz Ive put tons of time into that vid :(
