Wobbly Bars

First of all, yes I have searched.

My bars wobble a small but noticeable amount and I want to fix it. I run a Bolted Pro Model with stock forks, stock headset, SZ 1 piece Nipple Bars, and stock clamp.

Im thinking I just need to tighten my headset. How do I go about this? Based on the link below, do I just tighten the locknut to the right or the adjustable race or what?

Your clamp probably doesnt fit tight on your bars. Have you got a shim?

most likly iits going to be your head set and in my opinion stock head sets suck i would get a fsa or canecreek head set or you just need a shim or diffrent clamp

My clamp holds fine. The problem is wobbling back and forth, not my bars twisting out of position.

Its your headset.. You can try tighting it to were its tight but your bars still spin but if not you just might think about upgrading to a bmx headset.

tighten the headset and press the bars down or juss get threadless

i have quote on quote "threaded" baby slayers and i was wondering if i could use them in scs compression thanks

your stock forks might be really worn down. i never rode mutt bars but if you have a big slit in your bars and the threads on your fork are very worn down, it might not tighten enough.

dude i swear i had this exact same prob. a week ago and what i did is i put my bars on, tightened it and loosened the locknut as much as it could and it seems to be working well=]
