This sick concrete park near me thats like the only park here to ride, let alone the only crete park witin 2 hrs or less.
all the indoor parks keep getting shut down but i dont really care anyways i got street but this one crete park thats my local one i rode all the time when it was underconstruction, and i went when it opened they let me ride or like 2 hours and got kicked out, called and told them my situation they said i could come back during the weekend only so i did, got kicked out and also got ina figtht with a few skaters, called to the person about the person i talked to last time they said to come during the week when kids are in school so i did, got kicked out ina hour or so cuz of a misunderstanding she didnt let them know or w/e got my money back left called her and tallked to her,and she said the thing is they think it messes up the park really bad im like wtf?

the bikers had to proove theydidnt mess up the ramps and now they can go, so bikers, skaters and roller blades are fine, its just that i gotta find ways to proove to them it wont, anyone got any ideas?

she also asked for local places that let scooters in so theycan see how well it went with the wooden ramps lol,but all the parks are closed its so lame..i mean bikes fuck up more then a scooter would and so would a skateboard with the trucks and whatnot...so anyways

anyone that wants to try and help with me being able to ride the only park around and have info i can email her cuz my scooter doesnt harm anything unless im griding like everyone else..

thanks

I own SR.
Ask her what EXACTLY about a scooter damages the ramps and she'll probably say "Oh the metal dragging blah blah blah" then you can ask her how aluminum skateboard trucks and steel bicycle pegs are any different. You can inform her that aluminum is a softer material than steel not to mention lighter so it does far less damage. If they complain about handlebars (which would be ridiculous since they allow bikes) you can tell them you can get rounded bar ends so they won't damage the ramps. If she says when scooter bottom out and drag you can tell her if the ramps have steel coping it won't even effect them and it they are worried about the banks you can tell her you can get larger wheels to increase your ground clearance and also tell her that the goal of the way we ride is to NOT drag so it would only happen accidentally anyways. Plus, sliding a FLAT piece of aluminum across a FLAT ramp doesn't do any damage at all unless you have spikes sticking out to tear up the ramps or something which no one does.

I could think of a million more reasons why you should be allowed but it all depends on what she tries to tell you.

Have her talk to the Clairemont YMCA where the SD Comp is going to be held. The manager is totally down for scooters. Also, Point X Camp, one of the biggest x-treme sports camps let us ride their million dollar facilities.

Tell me what she says and maybe I can talk to her. I wrote a letter for Jason De Lorenzo a year or two ago to a park director in AZ and they changed their policies to allow scooters.

I say go anyways, fuck the bitch mane....wear a helmet if its neccessary and ride as much as you want, they can't really kick you out unless you reall yare hurting some shit and you arent, so i say cram a pole up that bitches ass and Ride as much as you want mane.....if you have to, ride until the cops come and give em a speech about freedom, supposively this is the land of the free and youre not even able to ride a skooter at a skatepark, jyst because youre better than all the people there probably....Hell ride it as much as you want, and let them know how you feel, you hav ejust as much right to ride there as anyone else does!

umm slasher well, im listening to their rules hoping they will change, when i am 210% sure they will never allow them(which i dont think will be the case i just gotta finish this email for her) then i will act on it and be rude and do what i want. and make a big scene with it and bug them everyday i feel like it. but thats not the case right now im gonna go about it the right way so i can legitly ride my local park and not worry about being hasseled.

thanks all.

my motto is, if they allow bikes then they allow scooters even if it doesnt say that some were. becuase seriously what the hell is a 5 pound scooter gonna do versus a 20/30 pound bike.??

i hate it i got kicked out of a park for arguing about my scooter, she said the metal ruined everything, so i said skateboard trucks are metal, then she said that she didn't have to argue with me, then she said she would call the cops, but when she left we came back, clearly there were no signs that said no scootering

a skatepark is meant to be ridden on a scooter isn't going to damage it any more then anyone else just stand your ground and as the other people said bring up the trucks of a kateboard and the frame and pegs of a bike. theres no reason to not allow scooters

eww..who rides scooters anyway?

nah..my local skatepark is the same way. We are only allowed to go if its during a bike session. The owner is more concerned about our scooters flying somewhere and hitting someone than the damage of ramps. But even a skateboard has more chance of flying and hitting someone than a scooter. What evv. Fuck skateparks in the ass

I remember arguing with a wooden skatepark owner for about 20 minutes and it ended with me calling him an asshole and hanging up. The guy told me he has seen a scooter snap in half and hit someone before, and i asked him where at, and he said vans. Then i was like, well they never allowed scooters in, and he was just like uhhh well uhhh yeah they did!. Haha but whatever, i dont see what damage scooters do.

im in the same situation theres this really nice skate park near me and they wont allow scooters because we would ruin the ramps..wtf. skate boards can hurt the ramps more and so can bikes. I really dont understand why they dont allow us.
