Wooden fork Reinforcement?

Has anyone tried putting a solid piece of wood to reinforce their fork.Doesnt seemlike it would be that bad of an idea.

i don't think it would work, if your fork is breaking, and it can snap metal, i dont think it would have a problem snapping wood, better off just putting in a metal pipe

but i think hes talking like a solid circular piece of wood though, so there would be no room inside of the fork just all filled in

seems if you got a certain kind of wood (I have no clue which wood is strong or weak) it would work pretty good

If you use the stuff that's in Goped bars it would work, not as well as metal though.

use a metal tube that fits in the fork. hammer it in. then put a piece of wood in that tube.

ehh it still will compress more than metal, even if you get a fairly hard wood (<-- lol... note to self: grow up) the metal pipe idea has been proven to work well so just stick with that.

the only problem with that is that u couldnt use a compression system unless u drilled a hole down the middle of it
