Woodward Philly becoming BDSP

Black Diamond has bought Woodward Philly, and they are NOT going to allow scooters. There has been discussions of them possibly having one session for ONLY scooters per week. What are your thoughts/opinions on this?

"UPDATE: Just spoke to BLACK DIAMOND @ 856-235-5800 and was told they ARE OPENING at WOODWARD with the same eqpt. that is there now . They say they can not allow scooters in with Bikes & Skateboards per their "insurance " .( TIME for NEW Insurance !) They said they will probably have a Scooters only session once a week .Whatever it is we are happy to know that Philly will once again have an indoor skatepark open !"

Sounds good? More like terrible. We went from being able to ride any day of the week, to now only being able to ride once a week for two hours. That sucks especially since people from all over the east coast ride there.

Destroy the phone number on the facebook page and let them know we want in ALL THE TIME. Me, Casey Murphy, Sean Griffin and Tim Muller were the first ones to ride Woodward on scooters first back when it was X-Games. If they take that away from us thats fucked up. As far as I know there was never any insurance changes either. They said no to us for a few weeks then next thing you know we were in there all the time (we were allowed in during the bike sessions too, haha)

EXACTLY, they made a hypocritical statement. If scooters are allowed in one session there's obviously insurance for them. Which means there's no reason for scooters to not be allowed except for the fact that BD doesn't like scooters.

Maybe, if we get lucky enough, they'll possibly also let scooters in the one in the one in Moorestown.

I feel you bro, this got me soo mad. The facebook fan page for this, I went off at the dude. But I was on Matt's fb haha. It got me sooooo pissed. Hopefully Brian will get the to do something, since he said he was going to talk to them about it.

Yeah this really annoyed me. Being that it is the closest park with a good vert ramp. They are losing money too, because when ever I did go, there would be a decent amount of scooters in the park.

Philly has such a large scooter community, of course there's a lot of riders ALWAYS in that park. Once they realize how many scooter riders go to that one session, hopefully they'll fix things.
