Wrist / arm protection

Hi all,

my little brother (9) broke his left forearm twice recently, but this is not going to stop him from riding his scooter and doing stunts.

Does anyone have advice on protections? I suspect that the usual inline skating wrist protection won't let him hold the bar properly.

Thanks all

wrist guards don't help and in fact increase the probability of breaking your arm... Which in my opinion is much worse than a broken wrist. I would get him to start working out, because muscles naturally help dissipate shock and the stronger you are, the Lees likely you are to break a bone. Knee pads, elbow pads, and helmets don't hurt tho... I don't see them as worth it with their mass and restriction of motion. (besides the helmet)

Drink milk to srengthen bones. Be calm when crashing. It keeps your bones loose and less likely to snap on impact.

There's really not much you can do. Even with the right protection if you come down hard enough your more then likely going to break something. If all else fails wrap him in bubble wrap.

Your body doesn't absorb calcium in milk as well, if at all, after 3 years of age supposedly.

Take supplements, exercise, and build up some muscle to mitigate the impact.

learning to fall is important too, sometimes the good ol tuck and roll will save you some pain.

Yeah just throw him out of a second story window and tell him not to really "catch" himself with his arms but more to roll with it :)
