I am putting my feelers out there, and your input is vital to the decision making process. Please respond with your thoughts on this so I can make a decision:

Will over at Inflow Skate Park in Canada proposed and idea to host a Can/Am Scooter contest to be held at both our parks on the same weekend, perhaps Saturday there, and Sunday here.

Is this something you'd be interested in?

Thanks, Virginia

Virginia, I'm going to move this to General Discussion just so more people see it.

My input: I'd be totally for it, but I know some people will find it difficult because it would require a passport/enhanced drivers license.

Border crossing difficulties

New York State has implimented a border crossing strategedy making it difficult for travelers to cross without proper identification. The only acceptable forms of U.S. ID are a passport, or a enhanced driver license. Canada has a NEXUS pass that is acceptable as well.

We have not made any decisions on this yet, so I cannot answer about attending just one contest. This is just me asking for your valuable input before making a decision. I do, however, think the border crossing will pose the greatest difficulty. I am most interested in your thoughts. Thanks, V

I was also told that the wait at the border can be lengthy trying to cross over. Does anyone have more on this? I don't go to Canada and am not sure about the wait time. Thanks, V

Well, whenever I go to xwheels I tend to leave my house around 10:15, so I arrivee at the border around 11:30. Usually the border wait for me then is either between 10-30 minutes at most. Usually when I get near the border there is sign showing the wait times for the three closest bridges. So which ever one is quickest we go through. If you're smart and leave within good time you can usually beat traffic unless it's a holiday you will want to leave much earlier.
