Delivery of equipment is expected to take place by June 29 and the skate park operational by early July.

According to Blakely, the equipment will be installed by municipal workers and the company has agreed to supervise the setup.
Skate park rules and regulations were also approved by the village board this week. The regulations were developed by the Skate Park Commission and the Recreation Commission following extensive research into guidelines used by other established parks.
Guidelines include helmets as a requirement for use of the park at all times. In addition, only skates, skateboards and scooters will be permitted. Children under 10 years of age will require adult supervision. Restrictions include the use of bikes or Ã?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?â??Ã?¢Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¡Ã?â??Ã?¬Ã?Æ?ââ?¬Â¦Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?â??HeelysÃ?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?â??Ã?¢Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ??¬Ã?¡Ã?â??Ã?¬Ã?Æ?ââ?¬Å¡Ã?â??Ã? (i.e. shoes housing wheels in their heels), glass objects or pets. Personal equipment such as ramps will not be allowed in the park. Skating will be restricted when surfaces are wet, and individuals caught in the park when it is closed, littering, or defacing the park will be subject to prosecution.
