Wow, went to technically my first show a few days ago with a few buddies. Mainly went to see Yesterdays Rising and Lower Definition but quickly got turned onto Amber Sky, there were also a few other bands that were ok. Just an amazing show altogether.
Lower Definition opened with I Don't Think You're Ready For This Jelly, followed by Honey Bunches Of Loc. Sadly during Honey Bunches Eddy (lead Guitarist) got tagged in the head halfway through the song by Stefan's (bass player) bass neck. It was pretty gnarly cause right away Eddy started bleeding but he managed to finish the track dropping blood. Quickly got ahold of a belt from someone, along with a shirt and makeshifted a tiedown so that he would stop bleeding so much. Eddy was gnarly as fuck, he played another 4 tracks before they finished and he left for the hospital! Spoke with him after the show to see how he was doing, he seemed a little dazed (pretty much expected though). I ended up getting in contact with him through MySpace and I guess he messaged back saying he got 5 staples! Eddy is the fucking man for playing when in need of 5 staples in his head!

Later on Amber Sky came on, they were sick as fuck, had only heard a couple of their songs but never really liked them too much til I saw them live. They put on a super rad set, played very well and the vocals were perfect. I don't know any of the track names they played, cause they were great enough to play a bunch of their new tracks from their new album out soon.

Then of course, the headliners, the main band I went to see... Yesterdays Rising... Wow, they're set was just nuts. They opened with Our Lucid Dream, which was fucking sick as can be. Followed up by every track off of When We Speak, We Breath. By the end of their set, I had sang/screamed every track they played, my voice was just about gone. Full energy show, I will definetly be seeing them again soon enough.

Amber Sky is battling for spots on the 2005 Vans Warped Tour and Yesterdays Rising is already on. Both played last year and I heard nothing but good things. If you ever get tickets to a Warped Tour stop, I HIGHLY suggest you check these bands out. Anyways, enough blabbing on, check out the bands myspace page...

And vote for Amber Sky to be on the 2005 Vans Warped Tour
