uhhm im sure there is more differences but..
cassettes you can change your gearing (cog/driver)

ya cassetes skip way more than a freewheel. a freewheel lasts me like forever and ever man. and yes a cassete hub set up weighs more than say 36-13 freewheel setup. my hubSET is like 22oz. or somthing. most cassete hubs alone weigh that much. and i dont see any reason to spend extra money on a gay huib that skips. ita all one big fat trendy trend of who has the smallest sprocket. fuck that man im good with my 43t and freewheel cause that shits old proven and reliable. and dont tell me cassestes skip less than a freewheel. maybe a shit ass freewheel like dicta or some crap but not an acs. and the first batrch of oddysey 13 tooths seized up but not the new ones.
Here are both of my bikes, first my Specialized HardRock mountain bike, the only mod is the FSA bash gaurd.
And now here's my old school BMX bike, I have no idea how old it is, I got it from my cousin when I was in 3rd grade (I'm in 11th now lol), and when I got it from him it was already old, but here it is. It's a Robinson SST, for those who can't see it on the frame.
You can tell everthing that's on it, I'm planning on changing those gay bars I bought for it way back when I got it, and the garage sale seat haha.

man i got a mtb awhile ago. they are soo fun. heres a pic
i also have a robinson rebel that is like 12 years old. i got it new when i was in like 1st grade and its all chrome man so sweet. but the top tube and downtube both have cracks on the welds that meet the headtube. but thats just cause i was hardcore and jumped to much stuff to flat haha
a lot of people bash mtbs but they are dumb man i can do everything i can on bmx on mtb almost. mtbs are great. heres some pics.

dude casset is way better then freewheel and u can get some mega light ones and i hav never hada prob with casset but heaps with free wheel but yea nice bike

thats cool. i like to spend alot less money on something i know will work. all i hear about cassetes is "hey is that cassete hub good? i heard it skips yadayada." and those ultra light ones cost ultra money. yeah a freewheel will wear oput after time but then its only like 20$ to replace and they last just as long as the driver on a cassete, thats just my opinion after riding for 12+ years what do i know...J-o-r-d-a-n-B-a-t-e-s said:
