^^ True, but if you're trying to ride distances or climb a hill (on a road at least) a mountain bike shouldn't be your first choice.

Andrew, I'm more worried about the one piece cranks than the big sprocket lol.
Yeah man. screw riding uphill on a 37 pound DH bike. sh!ts retarded.

Totally haha. I was trying to go fast on my friend's downhill bike which is pretty light (28 or so pounds) and I was wasted by the time I got to the top gear.

If I ever get another bmx bike it'll be that frame, probably. But I'd get it custom with a normal seat tube clamp and chainstay brake mounts.

A 2008 Haro Forum Pro, that I changed my grips and added a hub guard, took off my fourth peg so i have 3 pegs, and added a Primo Monster tire and new hub. Theres my setup!

Cause with the way the wheel spins, when the breaks hit it it pulls the brakes away from the seat stays, but with chainstay mounts it pushes the brakes down into the frame.

You're chainwheel is too small, it doesn't get in the way, you have 6 inches of extra clearance than other bmxers. If you cared about weight you wouldn't be riding a MTB. So you're trendy, and trendy isn't cool. I normally don't hate on people, because haters suck, but trendy kids deserve to be hated on. You're even wasting money by going through drivers, chains, and chainwheels quicker.

why the fuck would you ride a mountain bike with no brakes... isn't that asking to die? and how the hell are you gonna pedal up a mountain with a 22-8 gear ratio.

Wha?

I ride street. Whats the point of having a big chainwheel if I dont need one? I don't ride a BMX so I can't have a 25t? Most mtb's with gears have a 25t chainwheel anyway. Trendy? I'm the only person in my town with a street MTB. I'm wasting money? I've had this chainwheel, chain, and cog for a year, and it's still going strong. I don't see where the hate is, or why you need to argue.

Because mountain bikes are made to be ridden on mountains (figure that one out). When you take off the brakes and lose the gears it makes it become pretty pointless.
