triple flat, landed on the brake, and then i looked at the brake and it was sitting crooked so i looked at the bottom and saw that. i don't really see why something as simple as a spring brake breaks like that.

There is no way landing on a nail would put a hole through an aluminum(?) wall.
The nail wouldnt be able to stay straight and would just bend off to the side.
