YOUR BROKEN SCOOTER

the shorter the forktube is, gets less impact from the bars.
BUT, having a short forktube can break the bars faster because of the slit.

The only reason to ever ride SCS in my opinion is if you're riding alu bars.

Hep my fork has lasted a very long time and you've seen how I ride. The forktube and bar slit are both gigantic.

but it might break eventually. only time will tell

...or HIC is a joke and shouldn't even exist...... SCS should be the only type of compression. If i made scooter forks or bars i wouldnt even consider warrantee if run with HIC.

you saying that makes me laugh, you trust a clamp which is sorta attached to the forks but only with a piece of aluminium which for some reason, every single one gets skinnier in the middle, the weakspot. wont be funny once you see people snap them in half. even worse it makes decks, bars and forks break even quicker since its so stiff. now ics makes sense, bars wont go flying which i have seen happen plenty with scs and doesnt overload the stress to a single piece of unsupported alu (scs) rather spread across an alu structure and a crmo one(the bars and forks) and its lighter and you dont need anything more than a single clamp.

ICS makes sense, but its problematic. i rarely ever have problems with HIC, and a pair of bars never lasts me less than like 6 months when i have the right front end set up. i will probably always run HIC compression, im all for it.

try the ics10 with the ti bolt, its the opposite of trouble in terms of effectiveness and i never had problems with a normal one once you use 2 starnuts

HIC is not much lighter then a 3" SCS setup, you dont need a slit and if the bars get overloaded they dont snap at slit but instead uses the elasticity of steel and bend at the downtube before snapping.

lol yea they all have there benefits i perfer SCS but i have no problem with HIC it works just as good if you dont like the look of SCS. ICS on the other hand is just not as effective. And whoever said wait till your SCS breaks thats not going to happen your bars on your HIC or ICS will break before anything happens to a SCS or the bars on the scooter since the slit.

I think I prefer HIC over SCS but I'd have to ride SCS again just to make sure.

That being said, I rode the same pair of HIC bars for something like a year and a half and they finally broke. One of the best solutions I've found (and I got the idea from mister Billy "Master Scooter Technician" Rainbow) that works is a longer HIC shim and bolt. Like 3+ inches. And I think a deeper-set starnut with a bigger bolt diameter would provide stronger compression power and a bit more protection for the forktube as well.

SCS
-takes long to loosen everything
-Easier to get stuck bolt/strip
-/+ people say they add a lot of weight i didnt notice it
+no slit
+ some can use standard or oversized

HIC
-slit in bars weaker
-only Oversized bars
+quicker to loosen/tighten
+ easier overall

ICS
-comes loose quick
-only standard bars
- slits
+simple
+cheap

THIS IS MY OPINION SO DONT COMPLAIN

ive never seen bars snap in scs, where the slit would be at least, but both great compressions just the scs costs more
ad ive had scs for soo long and ive never seen a proto scs snap but not sure about other companies
