Kroto, I honestly believe in that when you ride on asphault that is so hot it legitamately squishes beneath your wheels that it has a toll on your wheels. On a given day in Arizona it's normal for the high for the day to be 115+. The asphault is usually hotter due to the fact that it just sits there and bakes.

Fixed.. But i hate when kids chunk there wheels and then complain there shit when they dont even wear them in. It's not that hard, just put them on and find a flat road and ride that *and i mean just ride up and down no tricks* for like 15-30 minutes or just bomb a big hill a few times.

I dont, ive had my grippers for ages and I worn them in for a week 10 months later they are still strong, but I no longer ride park so might have something to do with it

My Protos are close to a year and a half old. The Gripper is worn to hell, but they both have no problems.

I remember a lot of AZ riders complaining about eagles dehubbing so fast, and then blaming it all on the heat. I mean, it would make sense.. Loosens up the glue.

^ If its exposed to the heat for a decent amount of time, on top of warming up just from being ridden, Im sure it screws with the compund too. It probably makes it soften up in the heat.

you may think it sounds dumb, but try demon cores, they are only 25 each, ive had them over a year, no chunks or anything, and i was deffinetly sketchy when i first got them
