they ignored a few of my emails before i started hating the wheels. vertx has pretty low customer service when it comes to emails.

the batch i got had a really hard urethane. the newest batch is probably a lot better.

yeah mine were like that too. They are really nice though, I liked them alot. The urethane doesnt chunk and its really slippery which makes power slides fun as hell. Lasts pretty long too
 
To everyone saying Vertx wheels are super hard, they definitely used to be, but rumored to soften up the wheels a few months ago. I don't own any newish vertx wheels, so I wouldn't know for sure....just pointing that out

what happened to what used to be the strongest wheels on the market?

Buttercups. My protos at least last me a year, i dont understand the concept of dehubbing a wheel. Seems like you have to deliberatly do it because my jon reyes sigs were dehubbing on both sides of both wheels all the way around for months and they never came off the core

I have been riding the same grippers for like 6 months, maybe more, and there is nothing wrong with them. If you dehub wheels it is your riding, not the wheels.
