Just take an old razor deck, cut a strip out of the bottom, and bend it properly. It'll be fine for like a month. I've made like 4.

Also, why did I get an infraction for my above post? I didnt call him a retard...

i used to make those. they barely last even a month! but if you use a mount made of a old snapped brake and make irt 3 cm wide then it lasts a little bit better, weighs like 2 grams haha

addict should use alu ibnstead of plastic

Well, here is the brake I ended up with. I ended up just using steel, because I don't really use my brake and when I do, it is plenty springy.

Thanks for the tips!

You can get spring steel from leaf spring suspension.

Lol dude, do you even understand how much thicker leaf springs are than a flex brake for a scooter?

Also, for the above person who made that legit black flex fender, you might want to trim it shorter so that it only goes to the top of the wheel where you press on the brake. That overhanging section in the back seems like it would get bent pretty badly if you hit it wrong on something. Shorter brakes look cleaner too.

Sure you can but as mentioned it is rather thick.

Not only that you have to Anneal* it to be able to shape/bend it.

Just for fun grab a leaf spring and try to straighten it- good luck- it springs back, like it is supposed to do.

* heat it to red hot to make it soft and take the spring out.

Once you have done that you no longer have spring to your steel so now you have to heat it up again, quench, then temper to bring back it's Spring properties. It is quite a process.

Its actually not very heavy. But honestly I was just going for a scooter that won't break and I can put it through hell.

I'm just gonna use stair grip tape. Not planning on riding it in mud so it should work fine.

Just a little handle I made for my new Flip. Just a strip of steel, a hole, and a Fuzion grip. Found an old tripod screw lying around, and boom.
