Bars will bent, decks will crack without heat treatment, which cant i do on my own.
Its pretty important.

At the moment got one small peg on my addict. Havent test it "hard" yet. But i make couple of these two years ago, to my friend. They are still in one piece, but not so good condition anymore. They slide good too, i think.

well bars bending is all about the variables in the material you work with. since the chromoly tubing for the crossbar comes in a variety of widths. if you want a stronger bar that wont bend, get a tube with a thicker wall.. it may be a bit heavier but hey, theyll last pretty much forever.
And i think we should really leave the deck making to the professionals.. unless youre building a dirt scooter deck or something

If you are a decent stick or MIG welder that will work just fine. Most companies just use TIG because it is much cleaner looking.

Oh god..
When you are welding something, it changes composition of steel. It makes it softer. And it will bend easier.
When u heat threatment that welded piece, it will orginize again. And make it stronger.
Why you think that all companies use it? For fun? For spent money?
Whatever, seem that you dont make parts yourself. Or if u do, and use them. They must be like 15" wide bars or something.
When made my bars, i use 1,5mm thick tube. Normal bars, like district use same thickness..
I dont care what you say next. Thing, what i want to say, nobody "normal" people, with normal tools cant do same level part than aftermarket parts.

If you take your time and use different methods or be creative, I'm sure you could conjure up some pretty strong parts with just a MIG welder and simple tools.

More time and better work doesnt help if you dont have right tools. Which nobody got on his home..

As i said, i still got pegs, make alot brakes too. And they last. Couse that doesnt need any het threatment or anything.

And my homemade deck is still ok, just bented a bit. And, i guess, i make alot better parts than u. If u even make any parts. Or did you just came to talk, and dont know anything?

In the process of making a peg out of an old minibike footpeg. Should I thread the inside of the peg, or just drill it out and use a nut on the end?

Drill it out and use a nut, using the peg as the nut would probably spin the peg off and loosen your axle when you grind on it.

There's been pegs like that, weak design^^
Also why is Carson's name dora, supposed to be funny?

Alright, guess I'll just drill a straight hole then. I'll put the bolt through the peg and then use the nut on the opposite side, too. Seems safer to me for some reason.

And I guess. He's a moron either way.
