Your High School

I go to an all guys private Catholic high school school. Yeah. No girls. I have a dress code consisting of khakis, dress shirt, belt, and dress shoes. I also get an ass load of homework. Academically, its a pretty great school, but its expensive as fuck. $18,000 per year. It takes a 25 minute drive to get there everyday.

Only 11 days left of the year, though. Then summer. Then college. Gonna miss it tbh.

windells has an academy thats the same price haha, my mom was going to send me to it, but yeah.

i go to regular my district school for 4 periods a day and a technical school for the rest for commercial art. Its not bad, after my 4 regular classes (which are a joke and i have no homework in now that im a senior) i drive to the other school and stop somewhere for lunch on the way. then all i have is 1 period of gym and 3 periods of commercials art. my schedule goes 7:48-11:12 then 11:45 to 2:19

I'm a nobody. I know, I know, sexy-ass me? I just don't want to be like the rest of my pre-evolutionary peers who legitimately use yolo and swag in every sentence.

Btw some sub normal Neanderthal is thrashing my seat with his massive ape feet AS I WRITE THIS FUCKING MESSAGE

I coasted through school so hard that I didn't really have time to dislike it that much. We had six classes, ~50 minutes each, 8am-3pm I think. Plenty of Mormon kids, some Mexicans and some Natives. I was in smart classes (AP, CP, dual enrollment) so I didn't really get to see the seedy side that I'm sure existed.

i got to a school in a forest, I frequently have classes with less than 4 people in them, my art classes are in the schools fire refuge and my music lessons are in a 100 year old heritage listed cottage and me and some friends built a halfpipe there in wood tech classes.

My school starts at 7:20 but my bus driver feels the need to get us there at 7:00 every day. It ends at 2:10 which is cool.
Its hard as fuck to remember any thing you did for your first class.
And the last 3 classes drag on if you have shit teachers.
We have 8 periods a day and one 30 min lunch break, which is pretty good because they let you go out to restaurants at lunch.
but overall its ok, its rated 150 in the county and there isnt that many drug problems,
my grade is the only one to not get caught with drugs yet.
that about it.

My school is the best since im a senior i get to school at 8:15 and get out at 12:30 and only have three classes each day. I have 6 classes in all but i go to three on A days and 3 the next day. My school has the most douche bag spoil brat kids ever that wear the trendiest clothes ever. I really dont get along with most of them unless there cool i just make bank selling certain "legal" substances off them and laugh. My school one state this year for football too and has 5,000 plus people so its a big high school. And yea if you get fucked up your cool or if your really hot and smart and in activities. People dip in my class and drink and the AG teacher doesn't care at all.

$22k a year
all boys from 7-9, girls come in year 10 (I'm in year 9)
not possible to wag class
cool if your funny, smoke weed and just the normal shit
8:20 to 3:20
5 1hr classes, 2 week rotation
not really any sketchy cunts or anything

My school

I take 6 electives and 1 english class making the day incredibly fucking stupid considering I don't need any of the classes I'm taking except for English

Homeroom at 7:50, classes at 8:00, out by 2:50

15 minute lunch
7 50 minute periods
5 minutes in between classes

cliques... I guess they exist. I've been doing me since the start of 11th grade (I actually used to give a level of fuck about what people thought about me but it was a short bout in 9th to 10th grade and I'm ashamed I did) so I guess I see the cliques as more people doing themselves. We have an awesome music program and we have a trade school right next to ours, which is awesome, but you have to be a goddamn degenerate to be allowed to fit it into your schedule, then when you finally can as a senior, they won't accept you

dumb ass dress codes
now wear lanyards after sandy hook
the main principal is a prude cunt
the boys have 3 bathrooms in a school of 1800 while the girls have 6, 2 of those bathrooms being in the alternate building that doesn't get used much, so basically 1 bathroom to girl's 3
no fucking trays, just small as styrofoam things that make it impossible to size up on lunch at all

fucking hate it

Compared to all of your guy's school mine looks like nothing.
7:30-2:00 every day, regular 55 minute class periods except for Wednesday when classes are 35 minutes long, lunch is 30 minutes in between 3rd-4th period. It's a choice school so there's only ~350 odd people here and you know all of the teachers. Each class only has 20 students max and we can't do a regular class, it's all honors/AP classes. For getting ~5 hours of homework on a good night it's worth it. Probably one of the schools with the nicest teachers in it, all of them are willing to help you and go out of their way to make their classes interesting and fun to be in. Overall i wish i had online courses cause it does get boring doing some of these things at a slow-ish pace but you can't complain with the fact that everything else makes up for it.

Senior so I have 4 classes. start school at 7:35 and end at 12:45 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday i start at 9:20 and end at 11. My school is extremely academically competitive. a 3.0 GPA is considered low. School is all indians and asians. I am one of about 10 white kids and there is one black kid. No fights or anything of that sort ever happens but occasionally someone gets caught for selling or carrying weed. Everyone knows I scooter and are cool with it. It's a public school but in an expensive area so kids are rich but not too stuck up. I'm cool with basically everybody but I don't hang out with anyone from my school. It's usually my scooter friends or a small group from a different school. Most of the teachers are pretty nice so it's not a bad school but it gets pretty boring.

I have to get to my bus stop at 6:55 and get to school to first period at 7:30. Every student has a schedule rotation every day and 6 times, it goes back to the same schedule every 6 school days. and day 5 and 6 have 5 long periods while days 1234 we have 7 average length periods. we get out at 2:30
Im freshman and i take all A level classes but we hardly ever get work.
this one intersection that takes me a minute to get across because of how crowded it is.
And there is an even split between races.
And you can eat in most places around the school

8:30 to 3:30 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and then a few hours of homework per class on Tuesday/Thursday, so basically the same as a long school day. I live 90 minutes away though and take the train, so I get up at 6 and get home at like 5:30. There's only about 200 kids, so it's super small which is both good and bad (no cafeteria, lockers, etc.) It's a public school but competitive, so all honors/AP classes. I'm a senior but still have a normal amount of classes, which is kind of eh but it's the standard at my school so it's alright. I rarely hang out with people from my school because they all live an hour or so away, most of my good friends are close by.

Only have 5 days of school left with one day being a day to the city for Studio Arts and our last day of classes which will mainly be "here's the last thing I'll give you to revise, please do some revision before exams and don't die. let's just relax now" kinda thing.
shietttttt.

ANYONE WHO HAS HAD POOR HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCES/ SEES THE BULLSHIT GOING ON IN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM SHOULD REALLY GIVE MY RANT A READ, YOU MIGHT APPRECIATE IT AND AGREE WITH A LOT OF STUFF I'M SAYING/HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES.

My highschool rant:

Got suspended in 10th grade because I was around kids smoking weed. They got 10 days, I got 5. Because of this, I couldn't do school to work in 12th grade which I would have benefited greatly from because senior year was fucking retarded.

We have a career and technology center bordering our highschool and I'm a hands on kind of guy. I could never fit it in my schedule because I was always involved with music (played trombone) but when I finally could, they wouldn't let me in because they "don't like to accept seniors."

As a result of both of these things I had to take a bunch of irrelevant classes I didn't need to graduate and school quickly began to feel like daycare. I went from an "overqualified" student who was getting high b's and a's to a kid just slipping through the cracks. I say "overqualified" because I always had a "gifted IEP" but wanted to stay as far away as possible from 90 percent of the honors kids since they were a bunch of robotic selfish fuckheads. I also never took much of a "liking" to school. Because of this, I was a "waste of potential."

At the end of senior year, me and a few buddies got caught smoking trees in a parking lot the day of prom (seniors had that day off) and we were badgered by the police, only to be let go after they thought it'd be cute to notify the school. The day before this, I found a wallet in the school parking lot . I opened it up to see who to return it to only to find out it was my worst enemy's wallet (evil ass motherfucker/compulsive liar/sociopath who got pleasure in fucking me, my friends, and whoever else he could whenever he could when we all we wanted was to have nothing to do with him) so I kept it. The school caught wind of me having it (friends tell friends tell friends tell friends) and had all the principals gang up on me the night of prom (still got to go, just had to look like a piece of shit) to make sure "I had no drugs" and after searching me hit me with "you have such and such's wallet, all we want is to have it back." It caught me off guard and after realizing what they said, it was too late and I forgot to deny it. Oh wait, I forgot to mention that this fuckhead was an honors kid. The "simply getting it back" turned into suspending me for 10 days since it happened on school property (it'd literally only been a couple fucking days) and made wrapping the year up incredibly awkward. I had a hearing where the principal wouldn't let my mother talk, said he was going to read my name in the paper because I would end up in prison, and cut the meeting short. Meanwhile, the shit that was supposed to be "confidential" was gossiped all throughout the teacher's staff just like what happened in 10th grade. One of our school counselor's called down my girlfriend of 3 years and encouraged her to break up with me so I wouldn't "drag her down" because "she was still top 10" and to stay away from me, since I was such bad news and all. I didn't get to walk for graduation.

-If they actually value their students like they act like they do (but only oh so selectively) why the fuck didn't they try to change me at all?
-If they thought I was a piece of shit, why didn't they try to better me because they obviously cared about my girlfriend.
-What happened to equal opportunity? Instead of trying to help me the school literally just threw me in the fire and made the next 3 years harder for me. How the fuck is that sort of bias professional?

Pepper in that it took 4 years of hearing stories from some buddies about multiple principal office visits to learn that honors kids get special treatment left and right. These same kids get built up their entire life and literally receive rewards for being "good people" yet some of these kids are literally the most selfish and disgusting people I have ever met (no bias or exaggeration, just in spending ample time with them.)

Oh, forgot to add how individually unprofessional some of these teachers are. My 10th grade broadcasting teacher (we had our own local school news) would literally gossip about students to other students and let disgusting things go on in his classroom. He picked his next years class of representatives solely based on popularity way before anyone even had a chance to prove themselves and show their creativity at making edits/anchoring the show. It ended up being horribly unoriginal and under-qualified for what they were representing. It soon became a cult following to hate that class.

FINALLY, combine that highschool did literally nothing to prepare me for the real world and taught me nothing that I could use in daily situations. (Taxes, bills, job impressions, etc.) but I know that's not a "my" school thing and more of an all school thing.

Basically, the experience was unfair and retarded as fuck and graduating was one of the best things that happened to me. These people who run the school are just "adults" living a second child hood operating out of preconceived notions and word of mouth and receiving a less than deserving paycheck for it. They don't try to better students as human beings or prepare them for the world, just shove them through the system and make sure the designated "stars" stay stars. Fuck my highschool. Really made me lose faith in schooling.
