Your Own Band

How many of you are interesting in creating the band? What style would you choose?

I am quite good at singing, rapping an just have learnt how to scream well. I also can play violin and piano and at the moment I am visiting guitar courses. Some sketchs of songs that I have in my guitar pro programm sounds nice, cause I have an appropriate education. I like diff genres: alternative rock, rap, emo, punk rock, pop punk, metal(melodical).So thats the reasons why it is possible for me to create a qualitive band. Just one problem: where to find another talented musicians?

That is always the hardest part about being in a band, and especially finding people that are a)good, b)aren't completely full of themselves and bring the band down, and most importantly, c)share musical tastes with each other and get along. I used to be in a band, and I couldn't take it anymore, because the rest of my band was into pure shit music that I can't stand playing at all because it a)takes no skill; about 3 different chords per song, and b)it sucks balls. On top of that, we didn't practice for about 2 years straight, so I just quit. My advice would probably be just be in a band with good people who want to do it for fun, and not for the money, because you're not gonna make it in the music industry. Nobody does nowadays because bands are 'the new thing' and everybody is in a band, and you have to be real good (or real shitty according to todays mainstream music scene) to make it anywhere. If I were you, I would just stay away from bands unless you know you can get along with your band members, and most importantly, have fun with what you like doing. Good luck man!

i have a small band with my friends, so i guess i got lucky finding other members. If you are missing a member, like we were with a bassist for a while, just ask people if they play and don't be afraid to seem kind of lame.
