I hate the headset. It was $15 so I got it. I busted the lower bearing apart the other day so I dunno what I'm gonna do now. I drilled holes in the fork because I thought I was going to be a weight freak about it with the deck, but the whole thing weighs 9.5 lbs. What forks are so called cool anyways?

I see what you mean about the top and bottom sides, but they are good where the headtube and the deck connects.I made that tube myself so that it could have more welded area to the 1x1's and the headtube. TIG welding is like an art and is not cheap at all. I was paying for the He, filler, and time I was using so I hurried down those and spent more time on the headtube/deck laying the filler more carefully.

its not the holes, its a zero offset fork. i dont like zero offset forks. look into French ID forks maybe, if you're concerned about it being any heavier.
