the inner diameter is the same.... it's only the outer diameter that's bigger. aluminum has a greater wall thickness.

no they're 1 3/8 OD cuz 1 1/4 alu bars would snap. but they have the same ID as any 1 1/4 bars

Manbush already made aluminum HIC bars. There OD was so ridiculously big and they ended up snapping just above the top of the shim.
