Your Setup

Brian Boston

I got myself banned.
you do relize that you can film over the same tape.........so its kinda pointless to buy that many tapesss...........
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Filming over the same tapes = glitches, dropouts and lower quality video. Loosing a banger because your tape glitched isn't worth it, buying tapes in bulk is pretty cheap anyway, you can get them like $1 a piece if you buy like 50 at a time.

J-dogg is a dumb fuck. I tried filming over tapes a long time ago and it completely fucked up 20 minutes worth of footage.

I have two cameras that are a bit old( A casio qv-3500 and a Chinon genisis III), Two new cameras both the same a samsung es25 and a fuji film Finepix S1600. The first two are 2001 and older but the newer ones are 2010. I have some kodak lense cleaners from the 80's and am getting a tripod in 3 days. I will try to post up some pics and i hope they work.

get a hmc 150 theyre orgasmic and superrr light

I'm getting a deal on my HPX. This coffee shop wants $5,000 worth of design work from me, but they dont have the cash. So instead I'm getting an hpx170, a HD shoe-mount monitor, 10 hour battery, Pelican Video Camera backpack and a bunch of other shit to pay me off.

So yea.

Besides the HPX owns the HMC haha.

thats sick, ive never used a hpx, only a hmc and its the best camera ive ever used/ seen lol. it used sd cards instead of the more expensive p2's and the quality is amazing. and it has some pre recording thing. idk if the hpx has it but it films 3 seconds before you hit the record button. it comes in handy for almost missed shots

The HPX is the newest version of the dvx/hpx. Its a helllllllll of a lot better the hmc man.

ehh both awsome cameras. i dont really kno much about the hpx but if its newer than it is probably better

Well the HPX has real 4:2:2 color sampling, over the HMC's 4:1:1 (or 4:2:0???) The HMC also compresses the shit out of the footage so you end up loosing more quality then what you paid for. Plus the manual control setup on the HPX is almost the same as the original DVX (but with some improvements) so that pretty much makes it easier for me to get the hang of it.

Ty Evan bag came in the mail today, I'll be picking it up this weekend when I stop back in Owosso.

Sad thing is, I'm to afraid to order any packages to my apartment. We had some jackass bum break into the downstairs lobby and took everyone's mail.
