For anyon that knows about the panny gs320, since the firewire (1394) hole is under where you put the batteries do you need to have the batteries in while you upload to your computor?
Edit: stackies I looked at the hdr-cx110 and I wasnt impressed so go with the Cannon Vixia.

You'll have to capture the video, therefore your camera is gonna have to be on. So yes.

capture cam, get a really cheap mni dv camera off ebay or from me and use that to capture it to your computer

got my dvx100a with 107 hours today for 700 came with 2 4 hour batterys 5 tapes, firewire cable, now i just need to get a fisheye and a cap cam

you kids. back when i was your age dvx's were going for alot more, but now hdslr is taking over and no one wants these bad boys.
i just ordered a camera for my birthday. pics of my collection will be up when my new cam comes in

some cheap fugifilm lol. i used one at target and liked it so i ordered one for my birthday to take some photos. it shoots in 720p hd too
