i totally agree that its pointless, but i do like using it for portraits where people get impatient at the "guess and check" method

but other than that, i just use aperture = GN/distance

just got my vx the other day. sent it back and got a refund because something was wrong with the ccds. So i got a vx/raymod setup.

why do people zoom there lenses all the way out when they take pictures of them?

oh and i sold my st-e2 for $100 today

holy crap, it feels sooooo much nicer in my hands than the rebel


the noise is TERRIBLE on this camera, it makes me feel like i'm shooting wal*mart film, at all ISOs

yea thats the only thing i dont like about canon cameras compared to nikons most of them are terrible at noise reduction at high isos or even relatively low isos
the noise reduction on the nikon d3 is seriously unbelievable at iso 1600 it looks like iso 100 on a canon

yeah. i shot with a d3 today, and 11fps at ISO 6400 was sick
oh and i was using the 14-24mm f/2.8
the whole front element looked like a fiseye, it was weird
