I'm not a fan of huge bars.
I ride 17, but can ride almost anything fairly well.

Small bars are easy for everything but unstable for me.

it depends on how wide your shoulders are. if your shoulders are 14 inches wide, and you ride 20+ wide then thats too wide and looks stupid. but if they are like 18 wide and you ride 14 wide then it also looks stupid. any wider then 20 and you're just being trendy (unless your shoulders are wider then 20 inches)

i ride 16 wide, a half inch smaller than my shoulder width, it feels perfect.

ive gone from 15 to 17 to 18 to 20(backsweep) to 20(normal) and back to 18

I ride exactly my shoulder width 18. Wide bars have a bit more style if you actually fit them. Kids who are 12 who ride 20 wide look stupid.

I think really small bars kill style but too big of bars do the same
around 18-21 is good but really big bars are sick for flowing.

I love the way 20w looks on t-bars, but i do lots of barspin combos so i like the feel of 18.

i love 16 wide but 18+ is eaier for me to do tucks,spins and whips. im so used to my bike bars being 29 wide that 18 wide scooter bars feel like nothing anymore

I think that the differences are what makes scootering unique. With bikes there's a bit of a difference in bar size, frames are different but all look the same, with skateboards they're all exactly the same save for width and concave, but with scootering there's so many different styles of parts, whether it's 3 piece bars, crow-style bars, T bars, etc, all different heights and widths, I really enjoy seeing a group of people riding completely different setups. I don't want there to be just one standard size that everyone accepts.

I don't really mind how wide my bars are just as long as there 17+ but they have to be 21+ high or else it kills my back.

18 wide but i want to extend to 19, i rode 19.5 and that didnt really feel right so i think 19 would be perfect for me.
And im going higher with my bars, from 19.5 high in baby scs (so 21) on mgp to district deck so an inch higher to 22, il probably like it but if i dont theres always a hacksaw to chop .25 - .5 off.
Ride bar dimensions that feel perfect/comfortable.
