BE SURE TO GO POST SUGGESTIONS IN THE SUGGESTION THREAD
looking to put one of these together, but i want it to be successful. Need at least 10 people on here looking to to make videos and submit them. Here is going to be the guidelines that dave at SP put together for the SP KOTR of 2011, with a little editing to it for SR by me. If you guys are in ill be posting the list on July 1st of the objectives. they will be reasonable, trust me.
Things To Keep In Mind
-The winner will be decided upon by vote, similar to any other assignment. Voters should be looking at the best filming and editing. The amount of points is not completely relevant here; focus on the production of the edit.
-The winner, as described above, will get the money prize, less the entry fee of the edit with the most points (see below)
-The entry with the most points will get their entry fee returned.
Payment Info
-I will keep a list detailing who has paid their entry fee. Send $5.00 US via paypal, marked as a gift, to davidcappetta@comcast.net and PM me your email address that you used to send the payment, so I can verify that you paid.
General Rules
-Payment must be received before entering (before July 31st)
-Teams can have up to 7 riders. A clip in the intro with all of you in it and little close up shots with their names somewhere edited over the clip will suffice to prove there are 7 and only 7 riders in the entry.
-Entries must be at least 4 minutes long. No set maximum time limit.
-Entries must have at least 25 tasks completed. (the time limit and task limit is to weed out people who only do 10 tasks and make a 1 minute edit to MGMT, which wastes time)
-Entries must have some graphic for the team members and the task being completed with the amount of points. This can just be a text layer or a full blown motion graphic
-Entries must have a graphic for the total amount of points earned at the end of the edit. Saying you have more points than you earned will result in disqualification and me keeping your money.
-Entries must use fresh, new footage. Old footage will result in disqualification and humiliation.
-Flash converters are allowed. As long as we don't have to download some 3rd party plugin to view your video, it's good to go.
-Site suggestions you can upload to: youtube, vimeo.
-Entry deadline July 31st. That is an entire month to film and edit. I WILL NOT EXTEND IT. This is plenty of time.
I will be posting a thread in the general discussion about ideas for the objectives, so that you guys will have a little sense of what the list will entail. after this list is posted and this thing gets off the ground, payments will be accepted(follow payment guideline in the list) and after you pm me your name you will be posted below in a list of other entered people. this way nobody sneaks in for free.
