BE SURE TO GO POST SUGGESTIONS IN THE SUGGESTION THREAD
looking to put one of these together, but i want it to be successful. Need at least 10 people on here looking to to make videos and submit them. Here is going to be the guidelines that dave at SP put together for the SP KOTR of 2011, with a little editing to it for SR by me. If you guys are in ill be posting the list on July 1st of the objectives. they will be reasonable, trust me.

Things To Keep In Mind
-The winner will be decided upon by vote, similar to any other assignment. Voters should be looking at the best filming and editing. The amount of points is not completely relevant here; focus on the production of the edit.
-The winner, as described above, will get the money prize, less the entry fee of the edit with the most points (see below)
-The entry with the most points will get their entry fee returned.

Payment Info
-I will keep a list detailing who has paid their entry fee. Send $5.00 US via paypal, marked as a gift, to davidcappetta@comcast.net and PM me your email address that you used to send the payment, so I can verify that you paid.

General Rules
-Payment must be received before entering (before July 31st)
-Teams can have up to 7 riders. A clip in the intro with all of you in it and little close up shots with their names somewhere edited over the clip will suffice to prove there are 7 and only 7 riders in the entry.
-Entries must be at least 4 minutes long. No set maximum time limit.
-Entries must have at least 25 tasks completed. (the time limit and task limit is to weed out people who only do 10 tasks and make a 1 minute edit to MGMT, which wastes time)
-Entries must have some graphic for the team members and the task being completed with the amount of points. This can just be a text layer or a full blown motion graphic
-Entries must have a graphic for the total amount of points earned at the end of the edit. Saying you have more points than you earned will result in disqualification and me keeping your money.
-Entries must use fresh, new footage. Old footage will result in disqualification and humiliation.
-Flash converters are allowed. As long as we don't have to download some 3rd party plugin to view your video, it's good to go.
-Site suggestions you can upload to: youtube, vimeo.
-Entry deadline July 31st. That is an entire month to film and edit. I WILL NOT EXTEND IT. This is plenty of time.

I will be posting a thread in the general discussion about ideas for the objectives, so that you guys will have a little sense of what the list will entail. after this list is posted and this thing gets off the ground, payments will be accepted(follow payment guideline in the list) and after you pm me your name you will be posted below in a list of other entered people. this way nobody sneaks in for free.

You should really do it big and contact as many companies as possible to see who'd get involved.
That way the next one would have more am interest and could be run like this.

aaron, you should get inside to write an article or you can if you are still on there, that would be great to get this going.

sorry for double post. only seven people can be featured in your entry. an eighth person is allotted for filming, if all 7 people are in the clip.

so we have to be part of a team? and for the team, can there be more than 1 filmer? like could i be on a team with people from other states/countries and one person just edits all the clips together?

no. the team should be local. sorry if that ruins it, but it makes it fair for everyone else.
and i think i should clear this up. anyone you want can film, keeping in mind the judging is based 75 percent on filming editing/production. but only 7 people can be featured on your team.

nobody in LA? seems hard to believe. but if you don't, and you could get together with other socal kids and put something together, by all means. Im just trying to prevent people from stacking there team with top riders from around the world. they should just keep it to their friends and have fun.

well, if you pay to enter, and you follow the rules, you have an equal shot along with everyone else that did. then, after i filter who followed the rules and who didn't, then i post a poll with each video and the people of sr can vote. the winner receives the prize.
