Sanding down threads?

I got myself banned.
but i was searching, and they said to use jb weld on the threads, and sand the rest of the jb weld, paint it so it wont look ugly.

You are not sanding down the threads.

With the JB weld method you are filling in the valley of the threads and the sanding is to sand down the jb weld that ends up thicker/ taller than the peak of the threads so you end up with a smooth fork tube.

Make sense?

I wouldn't bother painting it since you can't see it anyway

This. I think it will still be weaker than a THREADLESS fork tho.

there really is no reason for it unless you need taller bars, and didnt wanna buy a new fork or you cracked your bars and are going to scs (happend to me). It does work, just be patient, i let mine dry for like 2days then went at it with the sanpaper, works well, and paint helps to just make it all smooth idk, i painted mine. have fun, good luck
