so it works? and i want to paint it, i have everyting black and red but the fork and the brake but ima spray paint the brake tommorowYou are not sanding down the threads.
With the JB weld method you are filling in the valley of the threads and the sanding is to sand down the jb weld that ends up thicker/ taller than the peak of the threads so you end up with a smooth fork tube.
Make sense?
I wouldn't bother painting it since you can't see it anyway
There's really no point in painting it as you don't see the forktube... Unless you have a headtube cut out
^This. I think it will still be weaker than a THREADLESS fork tho.
