The Odyssey elementary stem came to my mind because it uses a wedge, I remember that they had problems on the first versions that wouldn't hold the bars and steerer tight enough, hope this one doesn't have that problem.

SS 2260 is high alloyed steel according to the second link and it's called A2 steel in the US which is steel for making tool when I googled it. Maybe that's abit too hard and stiff for bars?

This should give you some idea... Just cut the sides that sticks out at angle so the cut stops where deck "box" starts.
