Some skateboard have small washers to allow the wheel to spin when the bolts are tightened. I use those washers for my scooter. :) And bottle cap barends won't work unless you have actual barends for them to be secured to.

Another alternative is Ulead VideoStudio. Afaik it's a smaller program, but its not as versatile as Vegas or After Effects.
