    steel flexes before it cracks, aluminum cracks easier. in other words, steel flexes more than aluminum

    lots of bmx riders dont use alu pegs because they grind through them very fast.

    chromo bends pretty easily, even if its heat treated. it would be possible to make a deck from steel, but it would be hard to make it light and banana-proof. and gutter sharks arent very strong lol. an average bmx frame is around 4lbs 10oz
