nah its not the clamp I literally just got a new one and its great. For some reason I didnt have the problem today, maybe i just wasnt cranking it tight enough

nah im using an HIC clamp and it doesnt work. I even had a dissy clamp before and that didnt work either!

bump, i'm having this problem too. Friggin annoying, i've tried taping it, making pop can shims, everything. Is there some kind of trick to doing it? I'm getting super rattled with it right now.

theres a lip on the shim to stop exactly this. Also you should never turn your bars counter clockwise when youre trying to get them off, because thats how it unscrews.

yes it works, there is 1746585 threads on this. The only difference I see with this one is that you're welding the shim on, which is unnecessary anyways.
