Ultra Pros come threaded. For now, what you're doing is fine. Ultra Pro forks last a while. Be aware that they do not fit 110mm wheels, only 100mm and 105mm. If you want a new fork I'd suggest an Inward Hybrid Offset Threaded fork, or a DSA HD Threaded fork. Threadless is quite expensive.

District, ultra pro forks, demons, one pieces. Spend the other $400 on something else. But hey, your money. What you buy is your choice, not ours. That's just what I'd do.
