what shim are you using? because i have a proto half knuckle shim and it is the same size as my bars so it wont fit
Shim in Photo= Standard Bar Tube

The shim you have is for the OUTSIDE of Standard bars so they fit in to the Oversize hole on SCS or when using an Oversize clamp on Standard bars

Since you have OS bars you don't need the shim for the Half Knuck but they include it so ya can use Standard bars iffin' ya want to.

This is how your shim works on Standard bars

Oem is like a chinese company making products and then a company buys those and puts their name on them.
They are usually crappy because they used cheap metal or a bad way of making something or welds are bad.
They are mostly crap because they are really cheap.

Not exactly-

OEM means the part is from the Original Manufacturer although they most likely don't make the part they do have better tolerances for the parts since it is what came as an Original Part.

Generally OEM is decent quality BUT of course some after market companies do make superior products because they do not make the end product and only have to focus on whatever part they want to make better. ( the original manufacturer has to be concerned with the overall cost of the end product so they do not always put High End components in their products- it would be too expensive for the end user they are trying to sell to)

Parts that are not labeled OEM can be a complete crap shoot on quality- but again some imports put misleading labels on their parts stating OEM quality
