so there still is not an awnser as o why they arent solid. because if i buy another one ( my 3rd one) and it breaks right on the weld like BOTH of my other forks. then wtf i dont get the point of having a indestructable fork when it is still fully destructable in like 1 and a half month. Andrew please give me an awnser as to why you do this because it is preventing me from buying another fork. i dont know if its the way i ride or if i get defected forks but i really really really want to have a fork i can ride for longer than 2 months. please post back.

soz if im wrong lmao
n if i am, thats y he has 2 weld it in the middle if its threadless"

I don't think Andrew would just go and take another tube off of a different fork. I'm almost positive every part is custom made. It might be welded on the threaded just to have a piece thats threaded and a piece that isn't. I'm also pretty sure they've always been welded there.

If I were you I would take your V2 to a welding shop and ask them to realign the fork tube and tig weld it flush so the crown race slides over without any grinding. Probably leave a crown race with them to test it. A good shop could do that in probably 10 minutes and about $10. Then see how that works for you. I know a few other people on here have already done that. Otherwise if you are still interested in a v2.2 I would just wait to hear reviews when people start riding them to ease your mind about buying a 3rd pair.
