BEADY!
On fb they were either joking or made a spelling error about the proto light deck cuz they said "a full 10lbs lighter than any other deck on the market"

I think that one is 22*5...

Right, I thought Andrew said the new biggest size is 5"x22" but just looking at the picture, I know that the slot in the deck for the tdi neck measures just under 2"....So look at how muck deck is left on both sides of the neck. I know looks can be deceiving but it looks like there is a good 2" of deck left on either side of the neck. Which would make it almost 6" wide (seems impossible, Lol)
Im looking at my 5" Orion right now and the one Dylan is holding looks much wider than mine... Optical Illusion or no?

Unless you change your griptape once a week, then your argument is invalid. If you want to get all scientific on this, then yes, you may have less surface for griptape, but you'll have more mass per squareinch against the deck, thus still resulting basicly in the same friction.

yeah but still, i mean the griptape will definatly rub off, i just think its a bad idea in my opinion tho

true that there would be more ppsi but that would ware out the griptape faster then costing more. however it is sturctually better for strength to weight ratio as the top plate adds little strength whilst weighing a quite high percentage of the deck.
