personally think these are soooooo sick
Is that a carbon fiber eaagle!?!?:like:
No, it's a Blazer Pro. Shitty OEM urethane on a carbon fiber core. I couldn't possibly think of a more stupid idea. Carbon fiber shatters under high impacts for one, and apart from that, who would pay over 250 bucks for a pair of wheels with urethane that's gonna be chunked to hell or dehubbed in a matter of weeks.

$66 for a proto SCS?! god that's good.
If they make bike frames out of I'm sure a 70mm scooter wheel core will be just fine.
It is susceptible to impact damage but if it's moulded correctly the impact you can do on a scooter will barely be enough to stress it. I honestly don't think ANYONE could break one of those cores through normal or even aggressive riding.

The bike components they make out of carbon are never designed for the type of riding that warrants major impacts. I've only ever seen road and racing bikes made out of carbon. I completely disagree that carbon cores would be fine for riding aggressively. Look at the Blunt polycarbonate cores that they were testing. Polycarbonate is used for so many shatter-resistant applications, including Otterbox cases for phones. Yet when put under the stress of aggressive riding, it shatters. And people ovalize metal wheels all the time. Where metal bends, carbon shatters, and that's a fact. I really doubt these cores would hold up.
Also, that video was the least informative thing possible lol, he's trying to "dispel myths" about carbon components, yet he hits a fork with a hammer and it's "unsafe to ride". I'm pretty sure the force involved in landing a big jump is exponentially more than what was displayed in that video.
Enough bullshit about the carbon wheels. They're for straight weight freaks and they probably will suck. End it.
