Yeah. Actually, a month or two ago there was a ski/snowboard demo in a parking lot using snow from an ice rink.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7976161 was all I could find so far. You live pretty close to XW I'm guessing, which means you live close to toronto, which means you can get a gt there possibly (craigslist or canadian tire?).
