what forks would help. if they are stock, buy new forks then cut them off or try 2, thin headset tools or make them by cutting thin steel.

Put a hammer through the fork and stand on it, this makes the fork not move much.
then just go at it.

Worse comes worse save up about $80,000 and hire chuck norris to do it

I had the same problem way back, ended up just cutting it off haha. Its only like 5mm of thread anyway.
Do you have the other second nut on underneath the locknut? Because if you cut them you have to have another nut to come off after you've cut the forks otherwise you'll never get a nut back on.
