I'm pretty skinny and I want to start getting some muscles, wondering if any of you guys have some tips for me? I'm not talking about gaining serious weight or anything. Looking for tips on getting started and basically anything you can think of that can help me. I have pretty strong arms and feet though from riding bikes and scooters so I'm not starting at square one I think

Step 1: strengthen your stabalizers, that is, the muscles protecting your back and spine. this would include stretches and light resistance training.

Step 2: strengthen your core muscles, that is, your abs, sides, and back.

Step 3: strengthen your upper body and lower body, each muscle group included, the main ones being:
chest
triceps
biceps
shoulders
back
calfs
glutes
hamstrings
quadriceps

Step 4: create a routine that you stick to, whether it is everyday or once a week, and STICK TO IT. introduce cardio and more stretching, and never forget to work EVERYTHING EQUALLY.

You could probably do steps 1 and 2 at the same time.
You can find many, many workouts online. Once you've started getting a feel for what you need to do to get the results you want, you can start writing your own workouts. You can message me on FB if you want to talk more about specific things man :D

Thanks guys, and yeah I was thinking about trying to get some routine on. Can I work out all of these just at home? The gym cards are really expensive

Now that we are telling each other how much we weigh I will as well haha.

I'm 15 and last time I weighed myself I weighed 70kg or 155 pounds to all you Americans.

I'm 17 and around 80kg. That's 176 pounds.

I'm not worried about muscle gain (I work load shifts twice a week, that's like pulling shit out of a truck and carrying it into freezers/fridges. Usually between 2 people we do 100 boxes in 1.5 hours, lightest boxes are about 3kg, heaviest around 14kg). I do need to loose a bit of weight though haha, but the truth is I fucking hate exercising (unless riding counts?) and I love chiko rolls and McDonalds. Never going to happen.

I'm 15, 6 feet and 130 lbs. I run cross country, and if you are looking for just getting in a general better shape, run. It really does help, and you get strong legs, however if your trying to bulk up, I'd suggest some sort of lifting plan and protein supplements, I went through a phase where I wanted to bulk up and drank protein shakes a lot after track workouts and lifting, did nothing for me haha. Best of luck to you

Eating healthy foods and working out on an almost daily basis will do the job. Also take some form of protein after your workout, such as Whey. I am 18 and weigh 165 pounds, and have pretty much been chubby all my life, which is the opposite of where you're coming from. But as long as you eat right and workout you'll be good. Also drink ALOT of water.

Haha this thread turned out weirdly but thanks. Just found out that I'll get a free access to the gym in a few weeks since I'm going to a new school so that helps a lot. Feel free to continue posting about your weight and other things related to this though

Creatine just puts water in your muscles to make you look bigger. It's a vitamin that helps you retain water, basically. There's more to it, and it does help your muscles, but not much. I know kids who've done it and once they stopped working out they got flabby. Avoid that shit.

Drink a protein shake every morning you plan on working out, which should be three times a week at a legit gym or every night if you're doing it at home with no equipment. More protein, more muscle mass.

Fuck the insanity workout, "muscle confusion" is bullshit and it overworks you. Do what you're comfortable doing and get into your own routine.
