Alrighty now, i searched for a thread like this, and I found mostly threads about 'how do i briflip? i stink at them,' or threads about what to call them/their history. I wasn't sure if I should post this in one of the stickies, so if needed, move/lock/whatever this thread, or tell me where to post it.
WELL...
Briflips/back scooterflips
I realised a TON of people briflip on their heelside, which is fine, except it's harder to add combos into them as you progress and want to learn more because if you want to learn briwhips, you'll be whipping opposite, and if you want to do 360 bri's, you'll be spinning frontside. I noticed this a while ago, maybe a lot of you have, too, but I think it's a problem for a lot of people (including myself).
I know it seems a lot easier to learn briflips on your heelside, I honestly don't know why, but it does. I ride goofy and I learned them on my right side, so now I have a hard time doing 360 bri's and briwhips, since I have to spin and whip opposite. TRUST me, it may be harder to learn, but do yourself a favor and learn bri's on your toeside (example: if you ride regular, you'll want to do bri's on your RIGHT side..as in, you turn your bars counterclockwise and do the rotation and if it doesn't work, you're doing it wrong). Learning these tricks on the correct side is key to adding whips and spins and other tricks into them. Back scooterflips I guess would be the same (?) I don't know much about them.
I'm not trying to get this sticky'd. I don't care if it is, I just hope it's of some use to a few people out there.
Ohhkay I think that's about it. Thx fer yerr time.
