Alrighty now, i searched for a thread like this, and I found mostly threads about 'how do i briflip? i stink at them,' or threads about what to call them/their history. I wasn't sure if I should post this in one of the stickies, so if needed, move/lock/whatever this thread, or tell me where to post it.

WELL...

Briflips/back scooterflips

I realised a TON of people briflip on their heelside, which is fine, except it's harder to add combos into them as you progress and want to learn more because if you want to learn briwhips, you'll be whipping opposite, and if you want to do 360 bri's, you'll be spinning frontside. I noticed this a while ago, maybe a lot of you have, too, but I think it's a problem for a lot of people (including myself).

I know it seems a lot easier to learn briflips on your heelside, I honestly don't know why, but it does. I ride goofy and I learned them on my right side, so now I have a hard time doing 360 bri's and briwhips, since I have to spin and whip opposite. TRUST me, it may be harder to learn, but do yourself a favor and learn bri's on your toeside (example: if you ride regular, you'll want to do bri's on your RIGHT side..as in, you turn your bars counterclockwise and do the rotation and if it doesn't work, you're doing it wrong). Learning these tricks on the correct side is key to adding whips and spins and other tricks into them. Back scooterflips I guess would be the same (?) I don't know much about them.

I'm not trying to get this sticky'd. I don't care if it is, I just hope it's of some use to a few people out there.

Ohhkay I think that's about it. Thx fer yerr time.

there is already a "how to do" thread. this would be great information if you could film a tutorial. and also, if you bri on your heel side, you'd have to spin frontside actually. i know it seems like backside but thats actually frontside. i edited your post for you. and the front scooterflip/front briflip was not important at all, so i took it out. good post though :)

ohh i see lol i read BK's thread about BS/FS stances and i thought i had it right, but thanks. and i didnt really see anything in the other threads about advantages over doing them heelside or toeside, thats why i thought it might be sorta helpful :)

edit: i read danny's how to thread and i guess this would fit in there.. i'm not really explaining how to do them though, i'm just trying to give some tips on 'em :)

I see what you meen but i can spin oppo 3s just as good as my normal and 180 bris are pretty easy for me since i land opposite so its easy.

yeah 180 bri's are pretty simple even if you do them spinning fs, and i know a lot of people can do heelwhips just as well as tailwhips, but not everyone can. and for those people, this thread may be of some help. like i said, i hope it helps maybe just a few people

I apparently do them on my toeside, but then again I don't do briflips because they're gheeyyy. front bris (when done properly) > back bris.

Well...
Briflips are just as easy both side.
And when it comes to doing briflip spins, its just as easy, as the momentum of the briflip throws the spin for you, you don't actually need to do much at all.
And also, if you can rotate a heelwhip, and land your briflips heelside, you can land briwhips, its the exact same as landed a briflip heel side, and the same as throwing heelwhip.
Good post otherwise (y)

yer i understand brian. i do it on my heel side and i stand goofy. so ive b een trying to get them on the toe side. also it is extremely hard to briy air with u do it on ur healside

settle down, he wasn't making fun of you. i'm "retarded" too, i'm goofy and finger with my right hand, spin front side naturally, and sex change during bris and inwards (which i do on my heelside).

Ok, by now at least half of SR is getting tired of your unnecessary outbursts and attitude problems. Recently, almost every other thread I've seen you post in has turned into a stupid argument and been locked thanks to you. Simmer down and drop the attitude, or get out.

And cut your hair, seriously..

YESSSSS front bri's are so much better if done straight, kinda like front scooterflips since most front scooterflips are super straight.. my front bri's used to be ugly but i have perfected the art now =D

i'm suprised people used this thread actually. most of my threads die in like 3 days lol
