essentially it just makes the compression ring and HIC shim all one piece. nothing revolutionary.

they fit "standard size bars" because they downsized the forktube. that interently makes it weaker.

Come on Chris, you go to Engineering school.. it’s the thickness of the tube not the O/D that gives it strength. The Declare forks tube wall thickness is 4.3mm, add its cold forged and further add there is a 2mm solid sleeve wrapping it. So no it doesn’t make it weaker than a normal 28.6 tube.

these sound siiiick
when are they coming out? (if they arent already out, idk im a noob)
and how much will they cost?
and when u say standard bar and clamp, that means you don't need to buy a hic clamp or anything right?

Hey nice guy,
Yeah man no need to buy oversize bars or compression clamps.. you can just run your stock standard clamp and Alu or cromo bar. Just makes things a bit easier.

Coming out in about 3 weeks.. Cost will be up to the local distro.. but not costly at all.

Its cold forged which means the tube actually has a second hardening process after being produced which gives it a uniform wall thickness and increases strength significantly. Also the landing ring is still on the fork itself so there is no change there. Futhermore they will never be ran without the IHC shim and with the shim it has a wall thickness greater then almost every other fork out there.

Not weaker..

Cold forged dont matter, people have snapped some of the new french id forks and they are coldforged.

you could also cut the shim and fork a little bit and use SCS on it if you don't want to sacrifice the 1.5 or 2 inches from having your SCS.
