Guys I know this is a he said she said thing but for those who want the real truth, here it is. I was asked to make a fork that looked like a BMX fork. That’s it! No drawings were ever given to me, no sketches, not even a crayon outline on a napkin. I took that information and developed a design and submitted that design to my customer. I still have the email showing the designs I sent. The design was approved so I took it to the next level. I did all of the theoretical stress analysis produced a prototype and submitted it to my customer. This prototype was debuted by Jessee Ikedah and was to become his signature fork. Jessee was actually in my shop a couple times during the process. I’m not claiming to have come up with the original “idea”. I have never said that nor will I ever. I did however take an idea and come up with a design and turn it in to reality. Coming up with an idea would be like saying I want a TV that washes my clothes. The design for this TV is what shows how it works and how to build it. Again, form your own opinion – everyone will.
