well it means practically nothing, since once you have to move that computer around to a different room or such a bunch of shit can go wrong, and it doesnt really cool a computer any better than a decent set of fans.

I'm joking, liquid cooling is a waste of time unless your running an i7-3770 over clocked to like 4.2GHz. Fans are great except for the noise, except most modern fans are really quite anyway.

Fans VS. Liquid cooled is irrelevant, this is how you cool a PC. They've been doing it since like 2003 but it's still not even really recognised.

Also, have you seen oil cooled PC's? It's crazy shit.

Not to start a huge argument or anything I just find it amusing that almost everyone who chooses PC does so because they believe they have a vast knowledge of computers. This is not everyone just a good majority.

I honestly don't see the point in getting a PC over a Mac for most people other than cost. I've owned both (many different computers of each) and I can honestly say I'm never getting another PC. Macs are much easier to use, they're much more user friendly, they maintain their speed for longer (all of the PC's I've owned got very slow if I didn't load them with tons of anti virus software), they're better for video editing (final cut etc).

Some may need a PC for other reasons but for my usage Mac is perfect.

Adding to this, all the "hardcore" programmers that I've met have all used macs because of their close relation to Linux and other small features. The majority of people who I've met or talked to who give off an air of computeryness and hate hard on macs couldn't tell you the difference between python, java, or c++. People hate the users, not the computers. It's fickle, the majority of debate in this thread is personal use, not actual computing. Thus making every argument in this thread worthless in a real conversation.

hardcore programmers hate Windows because it is too forgiving and unstable. Macs are more closely related to Linux which is nice. I use a linux server that is set up at my school for my programming.

Apple knows how to make a good computer, they also know how to upcharge the fuck out of anyone who is going to buy one from them as well.

The deal breaker: You can get a more powerful and better computer than a mac for a cheaper cost.

All the shit talking on Apple is over the shit they do. Yeah, they'll make a decent product, but they'll still make sure to fuck you in a bunch of ways, represent themselves as pricks (also achieved by suing everyone),and still limit their products so they make more money, then act like they are the most innovative technology brand out there. Yeah, that's where all the apple hate spawns from.

Both OS and Windows are interchangeable on whatever computer you pick, so I say get a cheaper better computer and run OS if you like it so much

I prefer my $500 dollar PC that I can eventually dial in speed-wise much better than the $1500 Mac with less memory and speed capabilities. Granted, I only have a 14 inch screen, but I prefer it that way.

I program as well and I will be partitioning harddrive memory for a UNIX OS pretty soon. Don't even want to think about trying to do any of that on a Mac.

No, just no. PCs are good if you can afford a $600 one. You don't need to over pay for PCs, if you want to over pay buy a mac.
