I have to admit, this thread is getting a little out of hand.
This shit is possible, but Im not throwing myself into the middle of this...
Even if this does happen, a planet/asteroid has nothing to do with god. How did this turn into a religious thing? The only way religion ties into this is through prophecies and predictions, which are all VAGUE INTERPRETATION! You ever realise the predictions never come right out and say something like "Some jerk off named Hitlers gonna fuck up some jews." No, it says some dumb, beating around the bush stuff like "and then a man will be unhappy. He might do something to effect the world." I lose interest in shit like this once religion comes in.

Not gonna lie, you had me laughing at "and then man will be unhappy". I agree with what you said 100% about the predictions. As far as the nut job bringing god into this, I think thats more of him just trying to cleanse him self before his death...
