Just wondering why you went with 5 bolts when a normal SCS with 4 is more than strong enough for anything. I'd like to 1.) see a fork long enough to work with the 5-bolt SCS and 2.) see a regular SCS with either broken bars or a broken fork. Doesn't happen very often. Barely at all.

I would suggest making a 3-bolt SCS with either 6mm bolts or even 7mm bolts, would be beefy, tight, and lighter and stronger than a 5-bolt SCS with either 5mm or 6mm bolts.

1. This SCS is only 4inches tall so it works with all forks .
2. making a bigger bolt only lessens the chance of stripping
3. 5 bolts spread the pinch load more evenly across the clamp resulting in a better clamping device.
4. If you put bugger bolts in the clamp would be bigger making it heavier.my prototypes were 1/16 inch bigger all the way around . When i made the final product I removed that 1/16 inch and moved the bolts in closer and reduced the weight by 60 grams.
5. Make a 3 bolt SCS and weight it with big bolts in it and let me know what it weighs. I did one in prototype 3 bolts 7mm and the full size SCS clamp weights in at about 330 grams . My clamp weighs in some where around 230
6. I made the tolerances closer in our clamp so that you dont have to over tighten the crap out of it to get it tight.
7 . I have seen 2 broken sets of forks at my local park in the last 2 months

In fact my son is running the SCS clamp on his razor ultra pro with ultra pro forks. SUPER SOLID! Ace Of Spades with agree with that!

you just got told^^^ since everyone ignored my idea i'll say it again.

wheel cores with a hardend insert so they don't ovalize as easy ( like how splined bike sprockets are)

Its a great idea . We can look into that . I will see what kind or cost factor it would have . The reason people don't do inserts (and this is my opinion is)1. most he wheels come from china and already have been machined and have no room to do that. 2. If your wheel lasts longer then the secondary purchase of other wheels is greatly reduced.

There is however a wheel out there that is made from t7075 which is twice as strong as the t6061 and t6063 wheels that most companies use today. We are looking at that.

He's running an SCS with threaded forks?

...

Yes !!!!! Its one of the reasons i started this . You dont have to have $90 forks that are thread less to make a solid scooter.

Simply insert a starnut, buy a decent headset and an SCS and your done . I want you guys to be able to upgrade your scooter in small steps .Lets look at the costs

stock fork $0
FSA pig $30
Faxtion SCS $55
total ---------------$85

after market fork -$90
FSA pig head set $30
Average cost SCS $70
total ..................$190

Big difference!

The kids will over tighten anything/everything and strip out the head, threads etc etc  searching for the ever elusive rattle that keeps their scooter DIALED.

A Kid grabbed Loctite out of my bag before I could stop him and put it on his clamp!!! he said it wouldn't tighten down and kept coming loose. I foresee a stripped head on that bolt.

different youngin' using a SAE nut on a Metric bolt and wondered why the nut wouldn't tighten down on the Axle bolt.

Most of them don't carry any type of anti seize lube for the Clamp bolts, they only need a little dab and the clamps will tighten just fine. Wish the kid at the park would have asked me first since I carry that in the bag too.

Anyhoo- parts look sweet and good luck to you guys.

Educating our end users is a big part of our plan. It will make parts last longer and perform better.

Lesson 1. A little. Antiseize goes a long way. Lessens the chance or bolts binding in the threads when tighting which reduces thread wear due to dissimilar metals ie.steel bolt and aluminum clamp

I like the sound of threaded forks with an SCS if only I had heard of this before i spent $320 getting new forks headset and so on just to run a SCS. Nice Work Keep it up. Probably the best looking RUP I have ever seen.

Derek.... It was funny that day you took this scooter and rode it at AJ park.Kids just looked at you like what the hell as you started throwing tricks on a RAZOR.
I thought it was cool . It was a great testament that you don't have to have $500+ dollar ride to get big tricks. Chad as well threw down on this ride and came back shocked at how well it rode . Lots of tuning time in this scoot.

One of our goals with Faxtion is to show that you can rock the park with an up graded RUP if thats all you have . Buy all the stuff that makes your ride rip then buy the $150+ deck . If you need help or advice hit me up . Oh yeah thats an ALUMINUM fakey brake not steel . Has not failed yet . I have rewelded 5 steel fakeys in the last 2 months . I get such a kick out of this scooter
