Our deck's will be CNC'd (i.e. VertX,Lucky)
I though that we should make it with flat sides for 5050's and Fingerwhips.

honestly besides the whole parts being made and stuff. i think its most important to make parts the are actually in stock most of the time and there is actually good colors of parts too. but good parts to start with in my opinion would be:

-front and rear axels that fit different kinds deck and/or forks.
-some sort of good brake would be really nice
-and the best thing ever! make a scooter stand!
-lastly, if you make bars please dont make any crow bar replica... there is so many different types of styles of that... make something like the rewinds, addict bars look soo sick, or something like the french id steel tree bars look sick also.

idk some of these ideas arent really that important but would also make you pop as a company with different types of parts. but anyways i hope you think of some of these ideas

If you are going to make a deck, honestly, make a plain deck like an ultra pro, or a phoenix. If you could, make it integrated, and i guess it would help if you made the headtube a circle. I know some people hang5 on the headtube, but a lot of people dont, so the circle shape would be okay. also, a circle is the strongest shape, so if it was done right, it would be amazing! Dont be afraid to make it a little heavy, like 3 or 4 pounds. Try not to make it extremely heavy though, but not too light. i find it hard to do stuff on a district because they are TOO light haha. also, think about maybe a fixed fender....... Theres my 2 cents.

EDIT: Specs maybe:

4.25w
19.5 long
82.5 hta
integrated

and

4.75w
20.5 long
83 hta
integrated

this. but as light as a phoenix or lighter.

Thanks for the input. These are all things we think about in some sort of way. Bars and forks seen to be a big topic. I will start really thinking or bars. Forks are in the works I promise. Things are just moving quicker then I can keep up LOL. Thanks again everyone for the input.

I think people are really trying to be too revolutionary with the bars. We don't need any more overly complicated designs, and the people that are saying "don't copy Crows, copy (insert other bars) because they're different! Well...isn't that kind of counter-productive? I've told Derek this before, what you guys should really do is fill in the gaps where new products, regardless of how they look, can be used. For example, Crow-style bars without backsweep, and T bars with backsweep. If I could find some 23-24h, 22w HIC T bars with 5 degree backsweep, my life would be complete. And I guarantee I'm not the only one who would love backsweep T bars.

For the forks, adjustable offset is stupid. They already tried to do it with the Ambush forks with an insert that could be reversed to make either 10mm or 0mm offset, but honestly, what's the point? People that want offset are going to buy offset forks, and people that want zero offset (all 4 of them) are going to buy zero offset. It's just a gimmick that makes more pieces to fail. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As far as the deck, people are basically telling you to make a Phoenix. Why are the people that are so obsessed with parts being different telling companies to make the same parts? Make something different.

If you want to really be innovative and make a deck that many people will be able to use, you might want to follow Proto's example of customizability. Start with the two piece deck, and make variations. Maybe for decks, have a set length but varying widths. 20 really seems to be a good deck length from my experience, But others seem to be taking a liking to 19.5 lately, so maybe 19.75 would be a nice compromise. Have widths 4.25, 4.5, and 5. And necks with varying headtube angles, 81.5, 82.5, and 83. It seems odd to have a bunch of HTAs and widths so close to each other, but it really does make all the difference. Integrated would be a good idea too, but that's up for debate. This is just a rough idea, obviously. For me, a 20 long, 83 HTA, 5 wide square edged deck would pretty much be a dream. But you can't cater to everyone specifically, so it's really just a matter of finding out what works in this instance that results in the best all around deck.

^^^ Yes. i have a few questions about the bars though.

Are they aluminum?
Do they come colored, or raw/silver?
If they are aluminum, do they have a Standard ID, and Oversized OD?

Thanks

If we did decks it'd probably be these Specs:
19.5 long
4.25w
82 HTA
OR:
20 Long
4.5 wide
83 HTA

So basically your choice of a Phoenix or a TSI...

Come on. This is what I'm saying. Big companies are already established. You really shouldn't just go off of what works and is known to work, because everyone is just gonna go to the OG companies for decks with those specs. You should break the mold and come up with something new.
