Price Issues & Weight Issues.

Ranting time................

These two subject come up VERY often and when I mean VERY I mean like almost EVERY SINGLE DAY!
It seems that people are not wanting to invest into some products that are worth the money so instead they
bicker and bittch about the PRICE &/OR WEIGHT. It's like its the end of the world or somthing??

Price Issues:
Seriously scooter products aren't that expensive and actually the prices have come down a bit in the past
4-5 months. Not on every single product, but overall all. The owners of a company are in it to help out riders, but
also to make profit, its just business. Its a we win, they win situation. The more we buy, the more they sell. The more
riders helped, the more money coming in. Catch my drift? Its not like companies are ripping us off. Just think about the
materials cost & labor "fees". Dare I say it but, every aftermarket product is what its worth. Just people, can you please
stop with whining and stupid statements like "Not worth it" remarks. Here is an example;

Today the PROTO "Half Knuckles" were in the SR shop and one of the first things people said was "WTF, $30????".
This seriously blows my mind. Its worth EVERY PENNY! UGHH, stupid people.

Also, another theory of mine is, if you don't like then don't buy it.

Weight Issues:
As far as I know the human body can grow muscles over time? If so, then when you carry something for a long
period of time you get use to it and the muscles grow and you become stronger. If you have a 12 pound scooter and
you ride it for like a month then you get use to it. It seems like people are getting lazy or need something to bitch about
or are not strong enough for some aftermarket parts. People always complain about parts being "too heavy". Well your "too weak".
Its not like companies set out to make the heaviest part? They try their best to make the strongest/lightest products they can.
Just cut these companies some slack and be happy they are actually making parts because bitching about something weighing too much
doesn't get you that far.

This rant goes to show that people are taking advantage of what they have. You should be happy about and supportive for what
great companies we have in this sport. I think we need to take the time and appreciate every company and their dedication.
Its hard enough to own a company and make parts but then to hear the people your making parts for bitch about what you just
made?? Instead of putting a product down tell them how good the product was but also how giving them advice and opinions in
a mature/nice manner. Discuss................

i think people have more of a problem with shipping rates rather then actual prices cause they can be a bitch internationally

i agree with the wieght though, i myself am bit of a wieght freak, i like stock scooters but it really isnt that hard to adjust from stock to aftermarket and people really do need to stop complaining about it
just shut up and ride, who cares if its 2 pounds heavier, its also 1000X stronger

OK first part. Idk about prices coming down, I remember when I bought my first SR thread fork it cost about 35 including shipping, then later I bought another and it cost 35 for the fork alone. Today an Inward Zero Offset threaded fork cost 72 dollars, not including shipping. But for the most part thats not the fault of companies, its just metal prices going up. So I agree about that part.

But not about price of Half Knuckles. It just kinda seems strange that Brass Knuckles SCS costs 65, but then a part half its size, without extra machining/etc costs 35? Personally I would rather save another 10 bucks and get a new pro model than buy a clamp. I could probably ride the same clamp my whole life, doesn't seem worth it to buy a 35 dollar clamp, even with its advantages.

Weight- the way i see it, why ride heavy bars that you would never break when you could ride lighter bars that would last nearly as long? same with every other part. also, i am a small, scrawny kid, of course i'll want to ride light parts, they're easier to do tricks with. but thats just me.

Does he now? Only to locals right? Well if not then let buy some "Radtke" bars.
I'm just saying price is a bonus basically. If you find really good bars and they are
cheap then thats great. Just don't bitch about pricing...... thats all. ;)

ehh 30 for a clamp IS a bit pricey.

most BMX seatpost clamps run in the 10-15 dollar range, so idk.

but in terms of other parts, everyone really does need to shut the fuck up. everything else is pretty much worth what it costs.

as for weight, i cant be fuucked to reinforce my scooters anymore, as long as i have a decent fork, bars & wheels im good. but if a scooter is TOO light, its no good. i like the combo of aluminum fork/cromoly bars, or aluminum bars/steel fork.

but what i hate most is shipping costs. c4 is really good though. super cheap shipping
yea and you need to wait only a whole 2 months to get your stuf...
make a section about apearance like how ppl wont buy inwards cuz they look bad

yeah. completely right. i am 14 and my scooter weighs as much as a bike no joke. and when i give local bikers a go they say it is to heavy and go back to their bikes. also stop complaining about prices people.
if you are that angry about labor cost you go out and buy metal and take it to a welder and get it powder coated and realise that it takes alot of work to do all of this. like it took me SOOOOOOOOO long to find imperial size steer tube in AUS and the stuff i have now is like the perfect size and isn't imperial. it's metric and i think it is the most perfect size of all. the clamp slips straight on and it doesn't bend in and you don't have to stretch it and it fits over the forks (IMO) better that imperial size stuff because you have to shove it on and it doesn't wobble.

if you go to a bike shop, the lighter the bike the more you pay, if you want light weight the aluminum is expencive and if you need strong it needs to be a higher grade alum and heat treated whitch cost $$$$$$$ but you're right the more quantitys go up the price gose down

try telling a bmxer theres no point in buying light parts
try telling sports car manufactures wieght shouldnt be an issue when they could make it stronger by putting solid steel beams everywhere.
try telling people that they dont need a car good on fuel money, because by spending more it makes the car better

what your saying doesnt make sense, when selling a product, you need advantages in all areas, thats how all the best selling products are made
good price, good wieght, good strength, all important. simple.
